22^Edition Ancient Tastes from 20 to August 30
Rivotorto a jump in the past to the rediscovery of the ancient culinary traditions of the territory.
As every year the attractive commune of Rivotorto that is born to the feet of the Subasio and he/she takes his/her name from the river that it flows close to the Sanctuary, it recalls the atmospheres of the past and it proposes the traditional and genuine tastes of the antiquity. They are days of party in the greatest fraction in Assisi, during which it will be possible to taste flat simple but rich of perfumes and tastes, been born by the accurate search of the ancient recipes of the past and faithfully realized in base to them.
They will be the cooks of the place to realize to hand with fresh products the dishes cooked to the moment: twisted to the text, strangozzi, potato dumplings, bread casereccio, roast to the spit, angry, country grass, traditional sweets.
A review that is born with the intent to valorize once the life of, done of simplicity and genuineness, in which the poverty of the life of every day represented a great source of internal wealth, and in which the bread and the wine were the values and the good traditions.
A dive in the past, to detach from the modern and frantic life and to taste the simple pleasures of the tradition rivotortese.
